Could this be argued for people who are selfish?

From what I remember from psych classes, I believe I came to the same conclusion, but it has been too long ago honestly and just noticed I don't really remember what the terms id, ego and superego contain *exactly* (obviously in the last decade I haven't been putting my psychology lessons to use) so I can't say with certainty... Hopefully someone else can be of better assistance.
